About Elaria
Founded by Dr Chantal Basson.
A UK-trained psychologist and family practitioner with over 20 years of experience. Her work has taken her from clinical settings into the courtroom and families’ homes, giving her a rare perspective on the challenges that wealth can bring.

We believe that the human side of legacy is just as important as the legal or financial, and that addressing it early can prevent disputes, protect relationships and give families space to thrive.
Our practice exists to bring psychological clarity
into places where it is often missing; within High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth families, inside fiduciary structures, and at moments of conflict or change.

Expert witness
Chantal has been appointed as an independent expert witness, worked alongside trustees and lawyers on high-conflict matters, and advised families navigating succession and transition. Her approach combines clinical depth with discretion, always focused on helping people make difficult situations simpler to manage.
